so - i've been under my kitchen sink putting in a new faucet since 4pm this afternoon (okay, okay - i took 1-1/2 hours off somewhere in there so's i could eat, but still...). fixing plumbing in an old house is never as simple as it ought to be - fixing one problem either presents or creates another.

get this: presently i've got rockin' water pressure on both sides (cold & hot), but the cold water pipe is dripping and spraying like crazy down under the sink. an hour ago i had crap for hot water pressure, great cold water pressure, but a drippy hot water pipe. i could go on and on, but seriously... i'm bored.

all in all it's not so bad, though. eventually i'll get everything fixed and non drippy/splashie - and those of you who know me well enough know how badly i've needed to fix that thing.

...aaaaaand, seeing as how the new faucet is e.x.a.c.t.l.y the same model as the old one, i've got it all polished up and ready to be "returned" to Home Depot tomorrow. i figure it's the least i can do to repay them for their expedient checkout lanes and their excellent customer service.
