why are we (as a population) so obsessed with "famous" people?
Atheletes, actors, musicians, artists, murderers, poloticians....
what about the teachers, police, plumbers, mechanics, your everyday joes.....???
well i think we as SG members should all partake in this
That way we can all be immortalized forever!
Whose with me?
I really liked "Last Night". I had some trouble getting into "Someday My Blues Will Cover the Earth", but after I listened to Defever's "I Want You to Live for a 1,000(?) Years", I grew to enjoy "Someday".
I'm still miffed that 4AD dropped HNIA just before the release of "Last Night".
I was rummaging around my music box and remembered that Jennifer Charles, aka Elysian Fields, is really good. Nice torch song voice. There is a Greek death metal band called The Elysian Fields and I accidently picked that up when I ordered from a small record shop. It isn't horrible, just not my normal style.
Velour 100 is a good group, Trey Many has done a wonderful job with them. I also like Starflyer 59, Stereo Crush, Pedro the Lion, Paramore, and Klaatu.
The last one is kind of 70's concept rock, but I enjoy it immensly.
