When my friend John said lets go on a trail ride Sunday, I didn't realize it was 20 miles of rough mountain trails. Nine hours later, I am exhausted and everything hurts. I did get to see a bunch of elk, moose sign, grizzly sign, and lots of gorgeous country that I wouldn't get to see any other way. I think I'll go lie down and quietly die now.

The great thing about hiking is, when you start to get tired, you realize you're going to have to keep walking to get back out of the mountains. So you just keep going, and end up seeing cool stuff.

I think there's a moral in there somewhere.smile
