whew what a craaazy weekend.
thursday started at 5am when my stressing neurotic ways came to a head.
alll fucking day i felt so horribly sick of fretting about this weekend and the stupid cute boy leaving and whether i was going to say anything or not.
i ended up leaving him a nerdy note on his desk asking him to give me a call if he fancied going for a drink some time. he won't call, but i didn't expect him to. i just needed to not have another thing to regret.
so from the time i awoke until i left at 430, my stomach was in absolute knots over the whole ordeal, which was absolutely ridiculous.
anyways, shortly after that we began our long assed drive and arrived in burlington around 6. then we had to backtrack to st kitts because megan's a douche who forgets her id. we made it over the border around 10ish i believe. duty free shopping ensued! clearly, a texas mickey of bacardi was in order that *gasp* wasn't even opened over the course of the weekend. we were waaay too tired to even move at the days end. after duty free began the long stretch of our journey through michigan and illinois. we took i94 through detroit and i got a picture of the 8mile sign, heh. i'm a nerd.
after that i fell asleep and awoke on the outskirts of chicago.
we made it safe and sound to our campground after driving around in a giant circle for a good half hour.
the off downtown to grant park!
the festival itself was fucking amazing, soooo many great bands. so many fucking people, i couldn't even believe the mass amounts. it was just so surreal being it this massive park and looking over to see the skyline of the city and its looming buildings towering over us.
pictures will be posted once they are resized. but i'm much too lazy for that.
30 seconds to mars totally blew me away, but i feel that i'll have to stick with the raconteurs as my favourite act of the weekend. jack white is such a beautiful beautiful man. he's so very awkward in that really awesome way. and brenden benson, oh have my babies! he has such a beautiful voice, and oh my. he's just so wonderful. they just rocked the fuck out and it was incredible.
panic at the disco was pretty good too, heh. they put on such an entertaining show.
what can i say, i have a guilty pleasure for crap music.
humm lots of other shit happened.
we got really super lost on the way home from the second day as we decided to drive and were all too stoned and busy licking melted chocolate off the wrappers to pay attention to where we were going.
..no, really. that's exactly why we got lost, lol.
so much more to say. too much to type.
to be continued...
