Well, see, my parents have always been supportive of everything, that's what's weird. We're that kind of family. And we do talk a lot, and I trust them, and I have fun with them. But, you're right that I don't really talk to my dad. I talk to my mom all the time, about everything. She's pretty much my best friend. But my dad is too much like myself, and niether of us is very good at talking, and one of the things I realized last night that made me sad is that he probably doesn't even know me well enough to realize what it was he said that hurt me so much. So in that respect, yes, you're very right. It's unfortunate, though.
fenchurch:
No, I don't.

Um, your journal entry kind of sounds like a suicide note, which may or may not be intentional. If it is intentional, I strongly suggest you seek help/support from somewhere better equipped to respond and help than the internet.

Hope you're okay.

which is worse? breaking a promise to yourself or to another person?

on the one hand, you should take care of youself and that starts with being honest and faithful to yourself. on the other hand, promises seem more real when spoken aloud.

i always keep my word but this was over six years ago. yet, it's still important enough to consider.

v-day turned out...

Depends which fantasy world you mean. There's always just my normal life fantasy, which involves living in my own apartment, alone, having a nice simple job at a coffee shop or something, and travelling a lot. But if you want my fantasy fantasy world, that would take more explaining than I could manage. I basically live in a fantasy world. Whenever i have spare time I have these stories that go on in my head. I love them so much more than I love real life...

I just went back and read the Feb. 16 entry from last year, too. I have to admit, if that's all you read, it would seem like I'm happier now. But it was just one day, and I was happier in general. And did you notice the silliness? There's not so much silliness now. Maybe I was more sad then, but I was more happy too, and now I'm just sort of nothing in between.

biggrin biggrin

water heater broke and flooded the apartment. so i had to take a bath the old fashioned way, boil water on the stove and mix it with cold water from the tub. it's interesting to look through a foot of seattle water. IT'S BROWN!!! homer simpson once commented on Springfield water by saying, "if it's brown, drink it down. if it's black, send it back."...

today i looked for a still. it's a very late christmas present for a friend. he's a big fan of alcohol (not an alcoholic, more of a connoisseur). i've drank so many times at his house that it was only fitting to buy him a means of production.

i DID bring beer one time so i'm not a complete parasite. i was dressed as Frank...

That Duy Bear concept is so sweet! We used to have bears in our car that were retired police bears that they had to comfort kids in bad situations. They were our car bears, just because you never know when someone might need a bear to hold. Stuffed animals are great, especially the big floppy ones.

I've never really checked out myspace, actually.

Fuck is one of my favorite words. It's so expressive. I sort of feel the same way about all those groups. They just sit around feeling sorry for themselves, and getting upset when other people don't feel sorry for them too. Wouldn't it be more productive to just get on with their lives and do something meaningful? Yeah, I don't really understand it.
lucylynne:
I love Donnie Darko! That movie is the best! I found that dress online while searching for costumes n such. I kept the link just in case I ever get married shocked

SOCIAL DISTORTION
"Reach For The Sky"

When I was young I was invincible,
I find myself now thinking twice,
I never thought about no future,
its just the roll of the dice.

But the day may come when you've got something to lose,
and just when you think you're done paying dues
And you say to yourself, dear God what Have I done?
And hope...

Hi Duy!

I don't think there is a special disappearing/re-appearing ink for tattoos. In hindsight, that would be a great idea so I can wear short sleeves to work in the summertime and still keep the tattoos for rockin out at nighttime.

Oh you're going gray no!!!

thing i hate about depression is the enduring sense of loneliness. perhaps, you send out depression vibes which drive others away. in addition, you feel that no one quite understands and you're all alone.
basketcase:
I know what you mean. I'm going through it right now, myself whatever
jade:
I think you may have something there. In my experience, the more upbeat I get, the more people seem to approach me. It sucks because if you are depressed it creates a terrible cycle.

Just saw Hotel Rwanda the other day with the Amnesty International people. Its one of the few meaningful movies out there. Its similar to Schindlers List. Basically genocide is happening and the main character saves as many people as he can (about 1000) by sheltering them in his hotel. Anyone beyond the hotel walls faces almost certain gang rape and death. Interestingly enough, he makes...

saw a gorgeous girl today. beyond looks, there was just something that drew me to her. i rehersed in my mind all the things i wanted to say. when it came time, i gradually lost my courage, things didn't go the way it was planned and i retreated.

sad part was she reminds me of someone else i used to like. she even said something...

suidegirls are definately popular. there is something thrilling about a hot, naked chick sending you messages. it would be very difficult to respond to and have personal relationships with every single person who tried contacting a suicidegirl!!! LOL, they can get more comments to a single journal entry then all of mine put together.

we're all just their groupies...

we're getting a new facility to...

You would die if you saw my pajamas. They are all covered in CATS, cause I have a cat obsession. Not very sexy but big and comfy! miao!! Love your tigger pants!

i wonder...

do suicidegirls ever get tired of us guys giving them dumb compliments and cheesy come on's? do women in general? that's just so much of it.

also, i've read a lot of the stuff people put on this site and must question the sincerity of it all.

To answer your questions in my journal:
My job is corporate executive office graphic design fun. I love it (except when its summer and I have to wear long sleeves).
I would really really like to visit africa. Thats been my dream since day one.
My brush with fame involved hbos real sex because I was in the suicidegirls episode. They started airing it again and then people from 'regular' life and friends would recognize me.
If I met you in real life... i would probably find you very non-threatening with your tiger pants and big giant teddy bear. You would make me giggle.
To answer your question is your journal: Girls can see the sincerity of the comment. There is a fine line between cute and creepy.

lemony snicket is my hero!

If you are interested in stories with happy endings, you would be better off reading some other book. In this book, not only is there no happy ending, there is no happy beginning and very few happy things in the middle. This is because not very many happy things happened in the lives of the three Baudelaire youngsters. Violet, Klaus,...

I have seen City of Lost Children! It might be on my favorites list if I didn't find it so creepy. But it's one of those movies I like finding in other people's lists.
