I was eating dinner at L's house and she told me something funny about a person she knows. L recalled going out with her one night and the woman described a customer in the bar as "Either a really cute guy, or a really ugly woman." I like how you can only be one or the other. Like it is possible to make this distinction - a door swings shut in your mind and suddenly the attractive person is hugely repulsive. This reminds me of when I shaved my head and people on the street stopped being nice to me and started calling me mister. That's why I grew it out again - I kinda liked the mister part - but I'm a huffy little princess if I don't get enough attention.
