how is it that i so often end up going for girls who are semi-freshly out of relationships? no, it's not a fetish: i find out later down the line.

so my date tonight pulled out at the very last minute. she called me to cancel, and she told me about her recent breakup... she was with this guy for four years, they broke up four months ago, etc. i actually knew this in advance, because we have a mutual friend--whom she is unaware of us having in common-- who warned me about this last week. but since :she: came up with the idea that we should go out for drinks, i thought that was a good indication that she was over it...

i admit that a few years ago, i was hung up on an ex and passing up many, many beautiful womenses. damn, what a fool i was! but i really was heartbroken, so i can understand.

as for me, right now: i myself am about three months out of a relationship, one which ended very badly. for whatever reason, i'm already ok, though i was a mess for a while. i know i'm good, because tonight didn't phase me at all.

we'll see what happens in the coming weeks...
