My work partner called me yesterday and they finally stood up to the bosses and shut the project down. Engineers will now come and look at the design and structure. Again, proof that standing up for what you believe in and putting the safety of others before your own special interest is always the right thing to do. It feels good to be able to make a difference.

On many a jobs I have heard we should put safety first ... and you know some people still think that if you speak up and say anything, your voicing a concern will get you fired. I take that Lasik is a medical breakthrough in eyesight?
