Went to the Run-A-Mucca biker rally this weekend.It was fucking brilliant!One of my favorite bike builders,Aron Greene of Paramount Custom Cycles,was there and I got to talk with him for quite a while.During the to short burnout contest he brought over 2 of his choppers,worth about $52,000 combined,and did some burnouts that had the crowd going crazy.He is a really cool dude.
I met a bunch of great people and got to ride in a mob of about 20 Harleys That was so fucking cool! Now I truly know what rolling thunder means.I got supremely pissed!But I was only one of the many.Hundreds of big scarey bikers drunk off thier arses and everybody getting along famously.It was a beautiful thing.
I also met an old Northern Irish terrorist.He was very interesting old bloke and funny as hell.It was cool the way we communicated about the terrorist thing.Silently,of course,but we knew each other by being kindred spirits.Old soldiers are like that,I suppose.So niether of us had to explain our pasts.
Everything was great except the 120 mile ride back home in the freezing rain,sleet and hail.That sucked ballocks but it was worth it for the great party and great people.
Next month is the Elko Biker Jamboree.Can't bloody well wait.
