Im back from the self imposed isolation as we have finally finished all of the pick up shots way early. Thanks to Billys careful film logging and our editors sudden opening in the schedule there is an outside chance well have a rough cut by Christmas.

Its odd working a first shift job and waking up in the morning to me. Save the occasional required class that refused to be scheduled to a more convenient time, I have not awoken before 10 am since the days of NBC Saturday morning cartoons. The body is actually rebelling against me causing constant nod-offs during training. Thankfully, I have rediscovered the age old vice of caffeine and cigarettes in time to help me through the morning until about 10:30 am when the brain finally warms up. I have a feeling I should not share my biting, sarcastic, nature and devil-may-care attitude with the folks at work just yet. The corporate world cant handle it.

I never realized how much producing a film is more about marshaling the forces toward an arbitrary deadline than anything else. Everyone has that initial cursory "yeah that sounds cool, I want to help out" but it's translating that early enthusiasm into actual productive activities that is the trick.

I reluctantly agreed to start writing the script for JTs movie idea. What a surprise, he also wants to do a horror film. I have never been a fan of the genre in the first place and his idea seems even dumber than the movie we just finished. Now how stupid could the movie idea be?

Two words: Zombie Luchadors.

To help combat that potential cinematic disaster, I have decided to develop Pornstar and Preacherman into an actual movie script in hopes that its excessive violence and gunplay will attract those fuck ups that I called friends to the cause.

I need to find smarter real world friends. Or at least some who dont always get completely distracted by shiny objects.
