sweet jesus h christ.
The Machine was PHENOMINAL. all my expectations were met and then blown away. absolutely fantastic.
they played a great mix from Animals, Division Bell, Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Obscured by Clouds, Wish You Were Here and there was only one i could not place to an album.
They played a lot of fan favorites, but i'm surprised they didn't play brain damage, or dark side. and from looking at previous shows they've done, it looks like the sets are always changing (they play 2 per show) so it's just like a grab bag of goodies. we were right up front, on the side so we had a fantastic view and no crowd around us.
they had an OUTSTANDING female vocalist come on for the start of their second set and they did The Great Gig in the Sky..holy shit. Big props go out to her. she did it down to the very smallest detail and it was no easy task. i wish i couldve heard her name.
I'm so glad i went and i know a lot of people who would really love the show. it kicks the crap outta just listening to them at home, the atmosphere and sound was just out of this world. the only downside to this show was it was creepy guys trying to stand next to Dose night. I thought it was just me until my friend Amanda asked me about it afterwards. ah well, can't win em all.
