Today was just a weird sort of day.
I kinda left a bunch of stuff to do when i left early on friday. And i got in late today because i just could not bring myself to leave my bed this morning.
But amazingly, not only did i get everything done, but with amazing results. so i kinda just screwed around at my desk for most of the day and handed out work to everyone who works for me. because well, its ok to abuse power every once and a while right? its not like we're super busy this week.
I would also like to add that i broke one of the bathroom stalls in our building today. i went in to take a wee (really) and after i closed the door, i elbowed the side wall and BOOM. it just fell. needless to say, i was really embarrassed and i do not plan on using the toilet for a very very long time. Ever since i got my brand done i've had weird random super powers that do not work in my benefit. except making the guys who work at the hardware store next door feel ashamed at the fact this tiny girl can lift and carry two bags of mulch home without a cart. that was fun.
I got a lunch break today since my monday meeting got cancelled, so i spent it lying in my car with the windows open enjoying the breeze. Just like college. mmm mmmm. except i got paid for it, not the other way around. And out of nowhere i hear a lot of sirens. and then this loud mechanical booming noise. almost like the noise the pods make in war of the worlds. so for a while, i was really kinda freaked out. then silence. the same thing happened again about 5 minutes before i went back in. sadly, the world didnt end and back to pushing papers it was.
and the best part of my day by far was i finally have health insurance. i dont have to change doctors, my prescriptions are covered and now i can go back to my old pharmacy.
i'm really glad that things are starting to look up in a lot of places that i've really worked hard in. But where i really seek improvement, results seem drastically out of my hands at the moment. and really, without comfort in that section of life, i'm really nothing. so we'll see how things go and shape up. and by things, i guess i really mean myself.
