you know, when shit like that happens, it really makes me want to leave this country.

a had a childhood friend at virginia tech yesterday. thankfully she's ok, but she's really messed up
and hell, why shouldnt she be.

why do we as a nation get into this huge comfort zone and figure something bad is never going to happen.
as long as we have cameras and rules, everyone is safe right.
NO. no no no. what happened yesterday was just downright terrifying! Students were jumping out of windows for as high as 3 stories as to not get shot.. and naturally, because it was only days away from the columbine anniversary everyone is all up in arms. no pun intended.

My point: Virginia Tech had bomb threats for 2 weeks up until this. 2 people were shot n dorms and then 2 hours later the massacre (for lack of a better word started) why did no one react? its like those kids just walked into it and no one knew. bullhorns and emails came too late.

I cannot imagine being trapped in a room with a sick kid with a gun, because he chained the door shut so no one could hide.

I feel horrible for those affected by this.
