doolittle

talked to my advisor today, and i found out some good news, it turns out that my desire to have a minor in religious studies along with my anthro major would actually be super easy, since they both overlap so much. it would be a matter of only 3 more upper division courses as long as i take the right 2 humanites. it's only 15 hours for a minor!! that rocks!! and since i'm taking italian, along with cultural anthro and religious studies, she said i have an excellent set up for field work at, say, the vatican. oooh, i like this so much. i never thought in my wildest dreams growing up that i could actually have wild dreams for myself. ya know? and now i believe in going for exactly whatever is interesting, and trying. if i heard me now, when i was, say, 16, i never would believe it.

i had a good day, beside talk to the advisor i went to pay for my china trip (it's so official, i am the first name on the list!) and then hung out with my best friend matt and watched shaun of the dead. it's such a great movie. we are both zombie freaks, and he hadn't seen it yet, so it was a fun time. then i went to walgreen's with him to buy condoms - he's awkward and was afraid to go by himself. and that is how i got a free, big bottle of wine! friends are great. i think i may have convinced amory to come drink it with me... yay!

well, anyhow, i guess that's all for now. still patiently waiting for the check to show up so i can register. getting close to being really done. oh, and the puppy update - we found a few cute strays, but there is a waiting period on strays incase they get claimed. so, if one of them is available tomorrow, we may just have another puppy/young dog crawling around here! yay!
