I got my CA drivers license in the mail today. It looks fake. Also, I'm orange. Like I was spending way too much time in the tanning beds. Umm... So, question. If they have to take the time to mail it to you instead of printing it out on the spot, how come the photo quality is still so much worse than on my MD license which I got in five minutes? I = am not orange. Seriously.
So, since I am stuck in LA instead of adventuring myself up to San Francisco this weekend, I decided that I wasn't allowed to just stay in and hang out with my cat this evening. As I did last Friday evening.
While Mister Fred is fairly good company, I do rather enjoy human contact. Thus I decided that goth club was the plan for the night. And I pestered people until a group was formed!
For while I might seem like an outgoing individual, in real life I can be rather shy, and I am not likely to go somewhere if I don't know people who will be there. Goth club might seem like an awesome idea to me, but if I don't know for positive that there will be people I know there, more than likely I will stay home with my kitty instead. Which is pretty silly, because I could just go out on my own and try to make some friends. My dichotomy of half open, friendly, an silly and half inward and shy can be pretty annoying. I don't like it.
Luckily I managed to finagle a group together. Ta da!
And this time I actually live here and know I am going to be doing this ahead of time, so I have something to wear! A pretty hot outfit if I do say so myself. Not necessarily as hot as the knee high boots, tights, black underwear, and t-shirt, that I saw several people wearing last time. But pretty hot if I do say so myself. I busted out my corset and lacy skirt, and actually did my hair. My knee high boots are in Virginia, and my mom seems to think it would be a waste of money to mail them to me here. Funny that. So gladiator sandals for me.
I'm halfway tempted to just wear underwear under my lacy skirt, instead of another black skirt. Hmm. Just tried it on like that. Totally hot.
First episode of SYTYCD was last night. Was awesome.
We should have LA SYTYCD watching parties. For serious.

Good to hear your listening to the open, friendly, and silly side. It's really, really easy to cocoon yourself here. I'm guilty of it myself a large portion of the time, but I'm allowed. I've been here for most of my life.
I'd like to see if any sort of SYTYCD thing happens. There was supposed to be a gathering for the opening anf that didn't happen. Maybe a certain new member should post a thread in SGLA and see what happens?
