Today I put on my new suit from Target and went up to the local Temp Agency for an interview. Everyone else there was wearing just jeans and t-shirts. I felt slightly overdressed but I think the interviewers appreciated it. I had to sit and take a whole bunch of tests surrounding typing and Microsoft office programs. I thought I did poorly but when I came out everyone told me how well I did.
So it looks like I will be starting up with temp work soon. Probably a lot of filing, typing, and answering phones. But it should pay a lot better than what I am making now.
I may also end up with a third job at Hancock Fabrics. I went in to pick something up for a quilting project and they literally begged me to fill out an application.
Work changed my schedule without telling me and I found out half an hour in to my shift today that I was supposed to work. But I got there and got three hours in. I am frustrated, but at least it means that I will have worked more than four hours this week.
I've been doing a lot of writing lately. Perhaps I will post some of my poetry sometime. I am always nervous about putting it up in such a public forum, for a variety of reasons.
I got an unexpected paycheck today, with unexpected extra money. Apparently I got time and a half for working New Years day. Good. This all means that I have a good amount more than I thought I would to get something done at the Philly Tattoo Convention.
So who is going to be there? Who will I get to see?
And who wants to come up with me?

It is good to get dressed up, and for next time, you can just keep going over the menus on the top till you see something that is probably right for the test.
And you can never be to overdressed for an interview. The people who are doing the interview give exptra points for that. Its shows your prepared.
