The guys in Switchfoot fed me last night. I'm currently broke, so free food was a welcome sight.
Earth Wind and Fire were doing a new version of the song "September" for the Emmy's. I got to see Philip Bailey, the singer. He's got such an instantly recognizable voice. If you remember the song he did with Phil Collins in the 80's, "Easy Lover", you know what I mean. Fuck, that was 20 yrs ago! I still remember my Mom cranking up "Boogie Wonderland" in her blue Mercury Cougar when I was a kid.
I have my Mom to thank for my eclectic musical tastes. I grew up on a diet of disco, opera, classical, and rock. It's from her I learned that it's all about how music makes you feel, not what's cool or what you think you should listen to.
Hopefully, Lo and I will finish a demo today. I'll upload it and post the link as soon as it's done.
Currently Listening to:
Weezer "Say It Ain't So"
