When I reported in last, I believe, I had to write a proposal. I'd never done anything like it before. It took me a long time, many trips to people I knew who had done them, but I got it done. Not only did I get it done, but I got it done well. I wrote it, ran it by some colleagues, redesigned it, and made it work. I sent it off and hopefully, tonight, I get to speak to the people who will have read it and we'll see where we go from here. It's all very exciting. My first real solo gig. I've always worked with other people on projects like this before... to be on my own (obviously with a bit of outside help - I get to consult my own consultants).

Otherwise, it's been a very hectic week. I'm going back to Toronto tomorrow to visit my partner because there's a seriously bad illness going on with her family. I fly back and forth between New York and Toronto so regularly it feels like I spend more of my time in the air and on buses/trains then in any one place. That said, going home this weekend is incredibly important to everyone... so I'm going. I'll be back on Monday though, so don't y'all worry.

Shaping up to be a good evening though. I'll be attending a champagne Friday tonight, which should be great. I'll hit up champagne Friday tonight and leave by tomorrow morning.
