So.....
The job interview went exceedingly well. I flew out to Denver on a 6am flight from Portland and hit the ground running with my first interview four hours later. I met with seven different people including a Vice President, an HR rep, a clinical education manager, a regional clinical/technical manager, a data analytics manager, an engineer (oh joy) and a principal field support audiologist. Apparently five of these individuals don't feel I would have to be in Denver for this job. Two, however, do. Ultimately, I think the decision will be made by the Director of Audiological Services but at this stage I"m still just waiting.
Frankly, I just can't afford to move. After seven months of unemployment, my savings are pretty low and certainly not enough to get moved. The company indicated that they would "assist" with a relocation package but they didn't elaborate on that nor did I ask specifically. With so many people feeling like I could perform these duties remotely from Portland, I didn't feel a strong compulsion to ask. Anyway....
I came home to Portland that same night about 9:45 and was completely dead dog tired. Saturday was like a hang over day and I just laid around in my jammies and power napped all day. Well, that and watched various movies. Basically, not a strenuous day in the least.
I'm certain you haven't heard the end of this tale so I'll blather with an update as soon as I hear one. Thanks for all the crossed fingers and good wishes. You guys are fabulous.

I would love for you to still be in Portland when I get back but I would have to say the occasional visit to Denver wouldn't be bad.
