Well, for my (whopping) second journal entry, I'll collect a few random thoughts.

First of all, my home state is about to become Republican. I can't tell you how depressing this is. The outgoing Gov. was a former prof and strongly supported higher education...this wanker coming in is proposing slot machines as the solution to the budget crunch. I've also just learned that he wants to address the "issue" of gun control, especially concerning criminals.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with a bunch of convicts packing heat while playing a bit of slots at the local gas station, is there? puke

What else? My migraine, which ruined the first free day in a few weeks, only resurfaced during class today. Luckily it was only a class three nuclear disaster and I managed to pull through! (BTW - delish breakfast often contains homemade pancakes with NY Maple Syrup, thanks Mom!)

I read Raven's journal last night and was really bummed by it. I don't know her at all, but her experience parallelled my own and I can say that it truly sux. Give her a quick 'feel better'!

Thanks for your kind words...I can't believe that you read my drivel!

Home made is absolutely the way to go. Processed food is fo' suckas! Where's mom sending Maple Syrup from? The genuine article I take it... Mangos, mm that sounds good. Being a Northwesty girl, I'm partial to Marionberry syrup too.

Ever seen "Saturn 3"? I think I've lost all respect for Harvey Keitel and Kirk Douglas after watching that (don't think I had any for Farrah Fawcett to begin with)... puke

Sounds like this new Republican guy is trying to make MD like the BFE areas of the Northwest. Not so much the convict bit, but the rest... whatever
