I got a new laptop computer, a HP. My old computer was 5 years old; it takes a hour to boot. I got used to doing things while waiting. If I opened an app. go make coffee while it opens. Look at paper mail; while the CPU spins around. I got used to waiting and filling that time, so I wouldn't smash the f-cking thing. It would seem; I'd would rather spend my money on guitars ans girls.
Okay the old computer took 15 minutes to get to the windows sign on; that's fast. Now I got to wait while it goes through start up and the CPU is tied up and the thing is useless. It actually runs fine; except we can't handle the new updates. The apps have all these background tasks that require more memory and CPU. Maybe there is a use for it, disconnected from the internet.
Everything goes fast on my new computer. All those tasks I used to do while waiting, aren't getting done.
PS: it only took 15 minutes because it was in sleep mode. heh heh
