with my ten years anniversary on suicide girls coming; i was pondering not renewing my membership. the experience has run it's course, and i never really got into the new format from last year. i liked having friends and favs better than following and followers. i felt too old for this site when i joined, and now it's ten years later. all the same; from the beginning to now there has been some really great photography. some truly nice erotica photography with humor, wit, and grace! besides that some of the sg girls are so nice and interesting; with really great attitudes about life. one day they are making little irrelevant blogs, and then years later they have their own clothing line or jewelry business. how will i know how the latest crop turns out, if i just up and quit? i'll probably let my membership renew, because it's easier than not.
it has been a summer for moving on, for me. i let some old businesses fall to the wayside; and have been clearing the slate for something new. i'm ready for some blue sky mescalito moments in a new world of natural wanderlust.
our band is getting ready to play a private party up in humboldt county. the show will be in an old barn out in the country, which sounds great to me. then in september 25 we play our big show at zodiacs petaluma. the band has been in a state of detached chaos and seems to spin out of control as a gig approaches. we played a little party two weeks ago; and everyone was being weird. but we pulled off a fun little set and got some possible future gigs from playing the party. musicians are rather temperamental creatures; and i just keep reminding myself that. because i am a musician too, and the rest of the band has to deal with me.
