I got hired at Barnes & Noble. I start Saturday. No more am I a drain on humanity.

The stupid computer won't work at the new house and this one has viruses on it. But luckily my mom bought a new one today for my birthday/Christmas. I get to take it when I move out. I'm kinda excited. Things are turning around.

All moved in. Now comes the bad part, living out of boxes for however long it takes to get unpacked. And the house is smaller, so we may never get everything pack in place. Oh well.

Got the internet installed today, but ther's no three-prong outlets in the new house so I have nowhere to plug stuff in. Hafta buy an adapter or something.

I checked out our new house today. My room is smaller and it smells like old people. But at least it doesn't feel haunted, so I'm happy. 7 days til we move.

Okay, I spoke too soon. My net access is now gone, along with my cable television. I live like a pilgrim. Except for the microwave and indoor plumbing. Plus I don't burn witches.

I'll be checking in periodically until we move on November 13th, then I'll be back for good a few days later.

Actually, it looks like I'm still here. We just got our service cut down a level, so I only have Roadrunner LIte. It sucks, so slow. My download maxed out at 20kbps. I know that's still better than dialup, but I'm used to so much more. Oh well.

The move is stressing me out, and I rarely stress out. I've got so much to do...

My mom finally cancelled our cable/internet today, it might go out any second, or it might be good until we actually bring the box and modem back, I dunno.

In any case, it's been fun talking to you all, and I'll be back for good in mid-November from the new house.

noninternet? how terrifying. it amazes me how technology i lived without for the past three years(internet/cellphone/computer) i now cannot function without. i don't know how i'd keep in touch with people if not for this strange box that i tweak with my rust screwdriver.

meanwhile, thanks for your nice comments. warmed my blacklittleheart they did. i think i'm finally comfortable getting dialogue to do what i want it to do. sure, i could use qutation marks, but that's just boring.

We now have an offer on our house, so if all goes well, we're moving in early November. Oh, joy. But it's gonna be right by Southridge and all the goodies on 76th street, so I'll have plenty of places to find a job, and hopefully one where I don't have to empty the garbage every day. puke
