I am really, really bummed. My car is officially wrecked, a "total loss". $4400 worth of damage. I'll be surprised if the insurance company gives us half that. I have to go pick up the license plates and the stuff from my trunk today. It's so sad that I'm going to be seeing it for the last time. I've had it six years and we've been through a lot together. I ended up having to replace the engine for $3000 three years ago. Since then, I've really tried to take care of it. It was mine. I can't believe I'm getting emotional over a car.
I'm considering using the insurance money to move to the east side instead of getting a car. Walking distance from campus, probably a bus route to the job (which I still don't know if I got). I dunno, can students living off-campus survive in Milwaukee with no car?
Also, the online game I help run totally crashed. It was completely down for a while, but we got it up and running. However, the last usable database backup is from June 2003, so we lost everything changed or created since then... kinda sucks. So I haven't been around much the last few days, and if I have, I've been working on repairing stuff.

Did you get said ticket in Waukesha? Milwaukee? County or municipal? Do you have a fax machine/scanner? If you get me a copy of the ticket I might be able to get the points reduced if you don't have a bad driving record. Or you can just email the info on the ticket, but I'd really rather have a copy.
