Pointless Mac rant within. Feel free to ignore it, it has very little significance.
I've had this kind of experience every time I tried to use an Apple machine/product. Maybe I'm just dumb. In any case, I've decided that I don't want an iPod anymore. Yeah, this wasn't even for me, it was for my friend. Who has... a different taste in music that I do not appreciate. But I volunteered anyways. Aren't I nice? Now I have a bunch of Justin Timberlake songs on my computer.
Friends are supposed to share common interests, right? It would be cool to have friends who liked my kind of music and could handle horror movies. The music thing isn't really that big a deal, because listening to music is more solitary. But it would be nice to have someone introduce me to stuff I hadn't heard before. But movies are more of a shared thing. I don't remember the last time I saw a movie with someone that I chose. Because every time I suggest a movie, it gets shot down and we end up watching Shopgirl (which was a good movie, sure, but I generally prefer a higher zombie to love triangle ratio).
My perfect outing consists of:
Vegetarian restaurant
Horror movie after dinner
Punk music in the car
I'd settle for one of the three, but I don't even get that. Ah, whatev. I guess I felt a little ranty today. But I'm not in a bad mood. I actually have 4 days off of work (4!), and I'm seeing some family this weekend, so I'm looking forward to that.
amen to that.
and i love my mac and ipod, but they can be frustrating. thank god i live near the ONLY apple store in wisconsin.
and it's about a million degrees in my room, and it's fucking night. fuck.
