I had lunch with an acquaintance of a family member yesterday, and we really had a great time.

Sometimes friendship is there all along, and you never knew it.

Also, I continue to be courted with wads of cash. There is some principle involved, and some stupid-ass scutwork, plus some serious career changing.

But it sure is interesting.

I hope your weekend is great.

Be a friend and go say a few kind words to Exocet.

She appears to be having a rough time at the moment.

Send her a few `` good vibes ``

She's certainly sent me a few.

Flying...floating...that's usually the way it goes down. Although, there is one experience I had I will swear on my life I was awake for, when I "floated" out of my body and across my bedroom. So I don't really consider that a projection dream.
It was odd.

I somehow got through work today after waking up in the wee hours and having dinner make a break for it.

That's unpleasant, and not particularly restful.

Bah. Anyway, I'm enjoying my book, which I shall go finish now.

Oh, and I have some timing luck ... not good.

Here's to hoping for the best (I know, I'm a damn riddle).

EDIT

I could learn...

I have no qualifications. Except maybe that I was hired by my college paper back in Colorado. But I had to leave before I even wrote an article because I dropped out.

It's time to go out and feel the sun.

Spring has been positively wintery so far.

I've been enjoying Lucy Kaplansky today -- or her music, more specifically.

The hummus hasn't hurt at all. I'm finally feeling better. I hate lettuce, so I don't know about chickpeas and salad.

Do you write for publications often? I've been trying to get into it (paid jobs) but don't really know how to start.

I have no thing near a boyfriend.
The non-date things are actual non-dates, not cutesy covers for dates.
Projection dreams? You'll have to explain them to me, I don't think I know much about them. That means I won't give an opinion yet! biggrin

A bit of music just came on -- Adagio for strings. It's a masterpiece, but just a shade heavy.

Anyway, what a downer.

After talking up Sophie on the merits of Neuromancer, by William Gibson, I realized I lost my last copy of the book in a little water damage incident while my stuff was in storage.

I happened to see a hardback, 20th aniversary...

Lately, I've had horrendously long weeks.

I still have to work a bit tomorrow (day six), but I'm home early, and hoping to get some rest.

Somebody wish me some beer. smile

kiss to Sophie for mentioning me in her Thursday journal.

Too bad Stasia is leaving. I love her smile, but I saw she disappeared from my favorites today. Bummer.

Have a good weekend.

4) Not really. More of a way to get people to think and interpret things in whatever way fits them. but to ease your curiousity -- it's not a page in a book. wink

Actually because I do have...people issues, being here has been harder on me than being at home. Because at home I would live in remote areas, here, I do not have that option. We are always in contact with people and it wigs.me.the.fuck.out. Really. I am good at being social, but this whole tripping over everyone sucks. I had imagined it being so isolated. Boy was that naive. I'm glad for it in some aspects, because it forces me to be in crowds, and now getting to the point I will not hyperventilate if I am. I'm such a wacko. wink

I've been reading a lot lately, and Sophie suggested in her journal that people check out Pat Barker's Double Vision, which was really good.

I recently picked up an early effort by Barker, called the Man who wasn't There, which was okay, but still good, and just got in the mail one called The Ghost Road.

But I opened it to read, and I find...

Thank you for your nice comment, it made me feel a bit better. I'm really good at striking up conversation with strangers and things, and I'm not a real shy person, but when I go anywhere with Kat I feel instantly invisible. She's really pretty and people tend to speak exclusively to her, and I just sit there twiddling my thumbs and wishing myself a million miles away.

...snow?!
