Anybody else here worried about Big Brother?

I mean, I like that people are out there making sure nobody is flying planes into buildings, but why is the law that says we have to show ID at the airport secret?

And the cameras all over Washington DC, equipped with facial recognition software ... I'm not sure why, but that bothers me very much.

Perhaps it's the 1984 vibe with the appliance that was in everyone's house, spewing propoganda all day. It also had a camera.

What's a part of this country is a sense of fair play, even when we're talking about criminals, or shady characters ... once, it was essentially accepted that if they stared over by going somewhere else, and behaved, they'd more or less have a chance to make a go of it.

Those days are long gone, of course. But recently, there have been some megadatabases created which worry me from the standpoint of how many completely innocent people are a part of them.

My question is, who's watching the watchers?
