dude, indiana in general just scares me. it's nothing like detroit, it feels rural no matter where i go. i think it's because even detroit is slow for me, but then there's a strong urban sense here that i don't get anywhere in indiana. i moved here in the 4th grade so all of that is foreign to me. and then, when we lived in a few small towns i got called 'spic' a lot.

my 4th grade homeroom teacher (i went to a school for nerds) tortured us by making us watch pee wee's big adventure and all of the episode's of pee wee's playhouse for an entire year. we would have to repeat lines of dialogue on demand, in synch with the video tape. he would rewind the tape over and over again until we hit our que just right and at the right volume. sometimes an entire class was spent screaming with large marge. all i needed to know i learned from pee wee.
