Just read a news story about how two women were attacked on a bus by four men (15-18) for being lesbians and refusing to put on a 'show' for them🤬 one women recieved a broken nose and the othe woman recieved several facial wounds and possible concussion.. When me and my friends went to the local 'gay pub' in th late 80's we were always in fear of being attacked and the gay men and lesbian women had to walk holding hands to look like 'straight' couples. Several of my friends were beaten up on the way to or from the pub. I was lucky to not be beaten up but was in a pub in Nottingham one night when a women came right up to me and shouted 'hope you die from Aids you evil queer' 🤬😱 i guess i was niave to think times had changed and that the UK was a more toletant place🤬☹

I read that article, too, @diddy_dave_uk . I’m glad that you were at least at a point where it was such a rare occurrence that it seems unexpected. I hope the perpetrators are punished to the full extent of the law. There was a recent article about an American Baptist preacher who vehemently and publicly stated that members of the LGBTQ community should be arrested, tried and executed just for being LGBTQ, and people were agreeing with him. It’s like the Nazis are resurfacing everywhere after hiding for 74 years (the POTUS’ two-faced position isn’t helping matters). The scary part is that many of these people are supposed to be Christians. They obviously don’t understand the teachings of their own spiritual master. Such bad, bad, karma. I do my best not to get angry about such things, but it seems I will soon have to make a stand to protect those who lack my strength. 💗🤗
