Got a letter Saturday from the socail about my disability benefit P.I.P. and they said they looked at the claim but still staying with Standard Level for both the Daily Living and Mobility components. I was hoping to stay on the High Level of Mobility so i could take advantage of the Mobility Scheme where i can use my benefit to pay for a mobility scooter monthly. I have 30 days to decide whether to appeal but i am seriously considering not appealing due to the stress, how long it takes (18 months plus) and the fact that as i have no new evidence and would probably have to go through an independent psyche evaluation, i just don't know if i can cope with it all. The money i will be getting is only a small reduction on what i get now and i might still be getting extra on my other benefit E.S.A., as qualifying for the Daily Living Component of P.I.P. could qualify me for a sever disability addition of £46 a week . I also found that my fav mobility scooter company Quingo rent scooters. I haven't made a final decision yet but am leaning towards not appealing.
