I have to begin with an apology: I really haven't posted a regular blog for some time, and for that, I am sorry. I could offer excuses, but to be frank, I just placed blogging at the bottom of my priority list.
2014 was a year that brought several life-altering changes, including downsizing my living space (selling my house and moving), being downsized by my long-time employer, and beginning a job in a new career field. It was very stressful, to say the least. I used to have a considerable amount of free time, but now I must prioritize everything.
@missy, @rambo, @lyxzen, I have to admit that I have been quite impressed with the sheer number of Hopefuls that have turned pink recently. I wish I had the time to review every set!
As to the title of this blog, I will, for once, do some homework. I don't normally make New Year Resolutions, but this year I'm making an exception. In 2014, my significant other revealed to me that some people felt that I have a lot of anger, including her. I was surprised, as I generally see myself as a very positive individual. However, after some reflection, I realize that I DO have a problem with anger, and a serious one. So, although I will be setting several goals to accomplish this year, I am only making one Resolution: this year I will work on changing how I choose to react to life's events, and make every effort to respond without anger. I will also attempt to find the source of my anger within myself, and let it go. I will learn to forgive myself.
It's funny- I shoudve noticed all along. Every good picture of me always has the red-eye effect, like I'm part demon. :)
Other goals for 2015:
Publish my 2nd novel as an e-book with a portion of the proceeds to benefit NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness), learn more Spanish (and maybe a little Portuguese), write my next novel- which is part two of the one being published, and finally, show more love and support for the SGs and Hopefuls.
I'll be busy with much more, but to make a goal, you need a time frame, and the other things are too vague to assign a end time to. I don't recall who said it first, but I firmly believe: "A goal is dream with a deadline."
