Know what would be fun? Running around to people's the empty journal's who aren't on my frineds list and writing "there are no comments for this journal entry." Because it would be grey, so it would look just like the regular message, but with 'dholokhov says' above.
Every summer I like to judge the Toronto Life summer fiction issue against the New Yorker summer fiction issue. It's surprising how often Toronto is as good or better (there's probably a maximum density for creative talent, after a certain number of serious submissions, it will usually come out to about the same). This years Toronto one is very very strong, and I wish I'd remembered to buy the New Yorker, because I think it might have lost.
