Happy new year everyone!
Christmas was neat. My family was kind enough to get me a backpack (no more having to lug my tiny, heavy briefcase around), and an ipod (now my entire music collection can travel with me!). It was nice to see my family again.
And how terrible about the tidal waves in Asia! You know it's bad when the Canadian ambassador asks what help can be given, and they ask for body bags and forensics experts
A friend of mine is down there - he was in Singapore last I heard but he bounces around from country to country at a moment's notice so it's possilbe that he was somewhere where the waves hit. I hope he e-mails me soon to let me know if he is OK.
