I was talking to somebody who provided security for the Guns and Roses/SG show last week (can you believe that security at the Air Canada Centre gets paid the same no matter what gig they are working? Despite the obvious difference in danger level, they get the same to handle Madonna fans as G n R fans). She mentioned that Axl had become so pathetic that he had to use strippers to sell out a show.

Now she was a total civilian so I could not blow my SG-member cover to come to the defence of Al, Nixon et. al.. But the more I thought about it the more I realized she was right. Not pathetic for SG. I'm sure they are raking in $$, getting massive exposure and new members, and the girls are getting to tour the world. Everyone is laughing all the way to the bank. But Guns and Roses used to be able to sell out any building in the world in the blink of an eye, and now they need half-naked girls to fill a hockey arena. Lame, Axl. Truly lame.
