This year my Hallowe'en costume was just a witch hat I wore around for a bit. But last year I put a little more thought into it and went as Spike:

If I were the kind of person who was gauche enough to constantly fill out the "CURRENT CRUSH" thing with celebrities, Ms. Imogen Heap would be high on the list. Not only is she supercute and ever so-stylish, but she is a very talented songwriter and beautiful songstress. I mean, I appreciate the hotness of a lot of female famous people, but the whole Immi package - the look, the talent, the everything - is in a class by itself. But don't take my word for it. As you can see, her live show is excellent and is what turned me from just a casual admirer to a huge fan. And I have really good tickets for her show THIS VERY WEEK!!!

UPDATE: You know in the clip above when there's that little glitch and she has to pause to get the song all ready to go? Picture that. A lot of that. Like more than any person who makes live music for a living should reasonably be expected to do, even if it is only the second show of the tour. FAr more than the show pictured above (the Kool Haus last April). Now to be fair most the problems came in getting the songs ready, rarely in the songs themselves. And it was kind of cute for her to be all like "oh do please wait a moment while I attempt to wrestle with these beastly instruments, oh my can anyone out there hear anything?" in her britishy accent. Remember the lessons of Maximum Overdrive, Immi: If we cannot control them they will rise up against us.
But when all her ducks were in a row and the space age music machines were working for her not against it her it was really quite something.
