Third in an uninterrupted series of "concerts I just went to" updates. On Saturday night I saw cellist zoe keating. She is really neat and sounds like the instrumental stuff from Berlin era Bowie, but played on cello. Live she uses super-nifty little loops so that she is able to layer her sound while still playing everything herself.
Because I had 23 days of vacation stored up and Human Resources was getting all weird about it, I have to take a week off. I have decided to paint lots and lots, and have two pieces mostly done.
I think somebody should make a digital mash-up of Dr. Dre and early REM, and call it the Chronictown.

As my division of the mighty Thomson juggernaut has been in denial of being part of Thomson since the merger 10 years ago, we don't hear much about the Royal Family.
I was very surprised to hear the old man was still lucid & active...I always thought he looked like Mr. Burns and spent his time silently in a wheelchair, only to leer & grab at his nurse occasionally.
