It turns out I was not needed to count ballots in the election, so I scooted out of my candidate's office really early to watch the results come in with friends. My riding switched from Liberal to New Democrats, so for once dholokhov has backed the right horse. I was going to write out my ten big observatiions about election 2006, then I realized nobody would read past three. So I took one:
1. Everyone will have their idea for the One Moment Where the Liberals Lost. Many will point to a certain ad or a comment about a proposed program. D submits that it was Stephen Harpers 90 minute interview on CBC newsworld four days before the election, and three days after he accused the supreme court of not doing their job properly and the civil service of being liberal hacks who would try to block his plans. And anchor Peter Mansbridge barely bothered to call him on it.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, meanwhile, continue their slide into utter craptitude.

And yes CatBats would be awesome. When I was a kid I read the book Catwings. Which was about cats that had wings like birds. I loved it.
