YES!! She finaly had a chance to call me last night. We talked for quite a while, too. I'm still walking on air just from having heard from her. Despite her situation, she sounds like she's in high spirits, and has found a nice niche of friends to hang out with. They've been training like mad, and the phone systems have been down for a while, so it took her a while to call me.

On the downside, some perverted oxygen thief snuck into the her tent and stole all the panties out of her laundry bag. She's managed to get a few pairs from the tiny little PX there, but she's still pissed. I went out and bought her some really nice moisture-wicking Champion panties before she left, and now nearly all of them are gone. I fucking hate thieves. Especially perverted ones. I mean, what kind of sick fuck steals worn panties? *shudder*

She'll be at her regular place of duty within the next week, and I'll finally be able to start writing to her and sending her care packages. I can't wait. I already have a bunch of stuff set aside for her. I'm so glad that she's doing well, and that her spirits are high. I was really worried about her for a while there.
