So, I have been working for a while to try and come up with an idea for a my next tattoo and I think I have it. Here is what I am thinking, art nouvoue and baroque styles revisited in an all black design. still working on the actual design though, I'll be sure to post it when I do.
I've been wanting to experiment with these as well as classic Gothic for a while now in my designs for school because I love the ornate beauty of these styles and am becomiing extremely sick of modernism. The i-Pod (while I do own one and love it for what it is) has become to me almost the epitimy of laziness in design or possibly the most brilliant design ever, i'm not sure yet. It is laziness because basicly you have completely deconstructed a computer down to bare functions (wich they are now building back up slowly what with video i Pods and all that stuff) and people have gone nuts over it. It is brilliant because you have deconstructed a computer but created a blank canvas of wich personalization is the whole idea. Just look at the markets that have been created by it and the products too!
But, what happened to the time and dedication and beauty of classic design? Less is more is fine, however I feel like it is going too far.
Its all just personal taste though, and one mans treasure is another mans trash!
