Back in AZ for just a couple days. It's so nice to get away from the madhouse that is LA! Been workin on a Ray Charles tribute show, at the Staples Center, which I believe is supposed to air 'live' tonight. Just found out something lame........they're not lettin any of his 12 kids (most of whom are singers/musicians also) get involved in the show! I think only one son, who happens to be a minister, or something, has any part in it. So, basically it's another corporate mess, intended more for ratings, than actually paying tribute to his memory. What a freakin ugly business I work in! Unfortunately.....it's work, and I need it. I love this time of year! I just wanna take off for a while. Maybe if some checks arrive, and everything's paid up, I can go see some folks. I'm itchin' to take a trip up north to the bay area! Every time I go up there I make sure to stop and see mom, up near Tahoe/Reno. It makes for a fun time, except that I usually go it alone. It'd be great to have someone along to talk to, and maybe do some of the driving. (It's pretty hard to get up the juice to wanna drive on my days off, when I'm puttin on about 1,000 miles a week for work.) I gotta wash the car, and bike, today! Far too many layers of desert on the vehicles! I've been figuring out the new camera, sort of, so hopefully there'll be some new pix up soon, K? Thanx so much to those folks that've been contacting me! It's hard to meet cool freaks, such as yourselves, when you're not around much - and you're new in town! When I'm in SoCal, I'm usually pretty busy workin. Although, last week I did have the pleasure of meeting someone from this site - in person! First time. I had a great time! I called her on my way from work, and she was available for dinner and a couple drinks. Thanx again, Andreya - you're too cool! With the schedule I keep, that doesn't happen often......even with old friends and family! Well, I gotta get to it. Also gotta get some laundry done before I leave again, tonight.
