So only a handful of days left in the semester. After a week of proctering and correcting the regents and RCT's I can now get to the sad job cleaning up the last four years of life at this school. I'm amazed at the sheer amount of art work that has been produced that has to be thrown away because I can't possibly keep it and no one else would or could appreciate it. I found out today my art room is being made into a math class (ah, the irony). It is hard to understand and make sense of the world when experienced and caring teachers are driven out of a school and the inept and criminal administration contiues to thrive. Thursday is graduation and get to see the freshmen who are now seniors go out into the world at least that is a true good.
On a lighter note the Mermaid Parade is on Sat plenty good food, good freaks, good friends, and burlesque to keep a smile on a mans face hope to see you there.

Isn't it sad when the good teachers leave or don't get the recognition they deserve? You would think with all the damn people going to school to be teachers that they would somehow only hire the ones that were passionate about what they are doing, but no, they sometimes hire the shitheads who do a horrible job at teaching. I've had so many shitty teacher's! Thank god it's the passionate ones that convince me to stay in college. You teach highschool? Ouch teens are mean. I'm sure you handle it just fine though. You seem pretty passionate about teaching. Don't ever loose it!
