Yah! I've got a kick-ass character for Exalted. Granted he's a pre-rolled form the back of the Night Caste source book, but hey. I've always found pre-rolled characters more of a challenge because I didn't make 'em. It's kind of like acting--someone gives you a part and your get to run with it. Relatively. Or something.

Anyhoo, my character has a HUGE axe and is...

I have trouble placing which Deathstalker film is which. Possibly due to drunkeness at the time. I remember one film recycles footage from an earlier movie, Monique Gabrielle had a dual role in one, the most incompetent wizard ever to exist is one(teleports in to his enemies lair. I cracked up) I got 2 of them on tape. I'll have to refresh my memory.

Beastmaster wasnt bad at all. My mate was obsessed with that one and even created a character based on him. Your new character sure as hell sounds interesting!

Arioch is a class name. I still havnt got around to reading all of the Elrik books, so many books to get and so little money. I read the Corum books first, partially due to my interest in Celtic myths, and have been slowly getting around to the others. Joint Custody, heh, s'good way of phrasing it.

heh hell, if you'll write the paper, you can make a movie out of it if you want! its about "Gender Communication" hee hee...based off an article by Deborah Tannen called "Sex, Lies, and Conversation"...now get to work! ...and i have like 23 bucks, will that cover it? biggrin

Hoookay.

I think I may not be on for a few days--not for long at any one time, anyway. I have to fix my truck, and solve seventeen physics problems by Sunday night. This includes working, martial arts and practicing for a calculus quiz to be given on Monday morning. Yay for lack of sleep--and I still have a nasty cold. Wonderful. Well, I love...

What the hell is the deal with pi anyway!!! *goes to watch the movie to explode brain to stop the questions and the hurting*

How can I describe that night to you?

She touched my hand and, shaking, I raised the goblet to my lips, tasted the blood of the moon and the earth, had my vision seared by the blinding flash that was the essence seeping from her soul.

She stepped from me, her touch lingering, her voice raising in a chant both foreign and ancient, a chant...

"...her hair aflame and her dark eyes pools of obsidian radiance..." I extremely like that.

I love descriptions that dazzle me...

Exactly. Except it wasn't a mace, it was a broadsword.

never read reteif books - i'll look for them, though. i'd list some titles, but they're not in my brain right now. too much thesis.

i don't like to drink real cold water because it gives me an icecream headache. i like mostly cold water with lots of lemon juice in it. you can't drink it as fast, but it tastes more interesting. mmmm..
montreuxcat:
hehe.

I think my favourite quote is the following one from Ghosts Of Mars, just because it's so depressingly horrible (and really funny because of it):

"Maybe I'd sleep with you if you were the last man on Earth...

...but we're not on Earth." Said totally deadpan. God, how did the writers say to themselves "Yeah! This is awesome."

Warning: Time to vent.

I'm getting real tired of so-called "intelligent posts/journal entries" wherein I post what, I think, amounts to an intelligent response only to have people think I'm just being a smart-ass, all because I'm using big words and complicated sentence structure! You are not the only intelligent people on the planet! Get over yourselves.

Fine, I'll cut you a deal. I'll try...

I still think you have to post links to dictionaries at every word over 5 letters and use a bibliography at the end.

Big words are good. More people should use them. That is all.

Okay, I'm a freak. I just started reading the Collapse of Chaos by Ian Stewart (and Jack Cohen). I love Ian Stewart; very funny, in a British-sort-of-way. The cool thing is that Terry Pratchett helped edit the book! Hell yeah!!!!!!

You may all laugh at me, or run in fear, whichever.

lol, i'm in my last semester of college, working on my Bachelors in Fine Arts as an illustration major. we have these 4 required 7 week courses over our senior year [senior series], which we get to pick from absolutely terrible classes. What happened is that our department chair realized that many students would leave the art school and join the art world not knowing anything about famous authors/writings/illustrators. So far I've had "Contemporary Figuration", "Cartooning and Culture" and yesterday was my last "Fairy Tales" class, where we studied fairy tales and illustrations, the portrayal of characters and the psychology between their relationships, Next week I begin "How to Navigate The Big Bad World." (a what do you do after college 7 week workshop)

My fairy tales class blew, though. The woman was a painting instructor and oblivious to most things fairy tale oriented, especially things in the past 20 yrs or so, such as Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Willow, Fairytale Theater, and much much more. There wasn't enough time to teach HER a thing or two since it was only a 7 week course, so it just sucked big time.

P.S. I also manage a little independent bookshop, nice to find guys who can [and do] read. I'm adding you. smile

love

Whelp, the Chaos Lords--Arioch and his Nonlinear Dynamical Brethren of Dischord--have struck again. On my way home from Circuits lecture, my truck decided to stop working. Still had battery, still had fuel, still had air and, now, I still have a non-working truck. Had to have the thing towed home--which was, either luckily or embarassingly enough--only about a mile away. Wonderful.

On the upshot, though,...

The book I'm reading now ("slut") theorized that girls call each other sluts so they can feel they have some sort of control over other people...they can ruin another girls reputation by spreading rumors about her sexual activity and therefore feel a sense of power (and also feel more safe from having the same label applied to them, since they become the accusors and not the accused)

Oh, man...we got to launch plastic balls out of high-tech canons in Phys lab today. In order to collect data, every lab team had to calculate specific trajectories that would not interfere with other teams. Oh, but not my lab partner. He picked a trajectory directly diagonal across the room, and with our calculations, we kept hitting people in the butt. Science is fun!

Imagine how great the world would be if they combined biology with physics. Instead of plastic balls you could shoot those sheep eyes you always have to dissect. Now THAT would be fun.
