It's about time I changed this. That depressing dirge had been up long enough.
I spent the entire weekend in the company of the some of the people in my life whom I miss the most in the world; my football team. I went down for the weekend and I swear it's like I never left. There's a lot of new faces but a lot of my closest mates are still there. It's nice to see the ethos of the team hasn't changed either. I've quickly become friends with some of the new guys, despite them not having met me before and not really knowing about my time playing. It's also nice to see the amazing amounts of rampant, over the top theatrical homoeroticism is still there.
I wasn't playing, but I made myself useful by bringing my camera to the game as they don't really have anything to put on their website (some are below). We went out after the game and I swear I never wanted to leave that moment, even if that Penn State exchange chick that was with us was giving me the eyes...
These guys, right here, are about the only reason I look forward to going out anymore.

And yes, it's your type of football (or American football as the rest of us call it). It's also the only football I'm good at. Our jerseys normally look a lot more elaborate but these are memorial jerseys provided by the Philly Blue Flame (PD and FD football team). We have close links with them having played them last year.
I really wish I could play again.
That felt good.

I miss it too. One of my most vivid memories was playing @ UL and on a kickoff return, breaking the leg of one of the American exchange students.
