A public holiday!!! Wooooo Hoooooo! And I even got to sleep in past 8am (was battling to ignore the fat grub and the fluffy cat scratching at the door, but sleep was just THAT much more important!).
Today was family day - afte rall we so seldom get to spend time with my dad and his wife (not my Step-mom!!! they eventually married after 15 years - all that time she was my dad's girlfriend, so i can't just all of a sudden start calling her my step-mom! Arrrgh no way!! but don't get me wrong - we do get on VERY well! thought!)
We did a trip to simonstown and kulkbay - so pretty, and the perfect autumn weather too. I managed to squeeze in some shopping (KA-CHING! goes the credit card!) and bought such a cute faux fur scarf - it looks like a fluffy collar, so is really nice to wear with your winter jackets - very vintage. Yip, there's always an excuse - I can justify ANY purchase!!!!
We ate at Bertha's in simonstown and hoped that what we were eating was indeed HAKE - did anybody watch CArte Blanche last night? Anyway, let me just tell you what ever it was the fish was damn fine!!!!!
My brother-in-law seemed to have had his happy face on today - he was one of the reasons's my sis and I had words yesterday. So far so good.......
Then KA-CHING again! I just can't help it - I think I may well be addicted to shopping.....at least I didn't have to hide anything from the boyfriend today...I have perfected the "please can i have it face!!!!"
By the time we got home after loosing the rest of the family in traffic (why is it that when you are following someone and they drive and AUDI they just HAVE to drive SO FAST that they LOOSE you??? WTF? Some people drive pathetically!!!) our poor fluffy babies thought we had deserted them - fat grub nearly ran me over in his excitement and Meow couldn't stop telling me my fortune! I love my babies!
PS: while driving today the boyfriend and i started talking seriously about getting married!!!! hey! when u have been together 7 years it's time to take the next step. Gotta admit that maybe the end of my relationship or "flirt-ship" with the tattoo artist has probably allowed me to move forward with my man....I think if both of them knew what had been going on with the other one, both would have had a heart attack....I will still get to THAT story....and besides I see tattoo artist is flirting online with someone else....fuck that! I wanted to be the only one! I wanted to have my cake and to eat it!.....the end of an era.....
