I've got to say that I'm a bit happy that Reagan died. It's mainly that I've seen people waste away, and sometimes I think it would be more dignified if they died younger rather than not knowing who they are even. It was definitely his time.

I think a lot of people were knocking Reagan in reaction to so many (not all of them here) saying he was a hero. Is respect saying good things about people even if they were not good? Reagan was the most feared man in the world when he was president. I think that the time to attack him was when he was in power, but is it appropriate to laud him now?

You said on the boards that we would all make mistakes as president too. I do not compare myself to the president because I want my president to be an exceptional person, one who is above the standards put on me.

Interesting day.

On the up side I got a kitchen table and a couch, each for five bucks at yard sales today.

All of my real life friends did the same thing when they heard Reagen died. Its very tasteless i think. Esspecially since most of them werent alive for his entire presidency.
