Updates on my nerd level!

Update 1: I came home the other day to find my roommate and Vladdic watching American Psycho, so I sat down to watch it too. I immediately began pcking up on all the symbolism in the film. Now, one may ask, how is that any nerdier than I was previously? Well, you see, I was pretty high at the time....

I always hated the idea of selling people something they didn't need to make money, and rarely ever have. I received more than one lecture on this behavior, but people always trusted me for saying they should get an $.89 washer at Home Depot instead of a $50 part from me, and they always came back. smile
vladdic:
Maybe its the lack of sleep talking.. but that Pritchard guy kinda looks like a fatter, unshaven version of you...

T minus twelve days until the seemingly interminable cohesiveness of the old group of friends is dissolved at last. And yes, I keep bringing this up because it is that important to me. I went through nearly every sort of hell we could have even conceived of as teenagers with these girls. I had some of the best experiences of my life with these girls....

"It sucks when you realize that you won't be making anymore memories with certain people."

All the saddest moments of my life can be described with that sentence. Hell...I get bummed at the thought of not making any more memories with people I only marginally tolerate the continued existance of...when it's people I really care about I get all weepy and snot-nosed and shit. It's pretty damned immasculating. People need to stay in my life so that I can stay macho.

Now someone come help me look for my train of thought.
maximillian:
Yeah, weird - though I didn't understand the conflict until Flux explained it to me.

Man, did last week suck. I spent every waking our that I wasn't at work moving stuff into the new place or cleaning the old places. Lame. But, we are finally all moved in, albeit still disorganized as hell. Fitting three apartments worth of stuff into one is a difficult task, and the only solution is to sacrifice walking and sitting room and use every...

Well... this time I'm not going to be joking. I will demand service upon my genitials... and by golly I'll get it or I'm kicking the bitch out, even if its her own house.

now why would you go and say something like that.

Moving. I'll probably be gone for a few days. Blame Bellsouth; I have a feeling it will take them a few days to transfer our phone and DSL service to the new place. This is especially annoying since I am only moving one building over. Bellsouth equals lame.

But now the good news: Knifefight and I are moving in with the oft mentioned Kyle and...

Blarg. So at 6:00am this morning my phone rings. Of course, I have it set on vibrate and, of course, the sound of the standup charger vibrating against a metal table was so cacophonous and downright awful that it jerked me right out of sleep and across the room before I was fully conscious enough to say "fuck it, I'm not picking that up; it's...

Friday: I watched Spider-Man for the first time and two hours later, watched Spider-Man II.

With that said, I was definitely missing out.
superflea:
The JS line was always sexy. I've been a longtime fan of the S series (the 'evolution' of which - and by evolution, i mean 'sprinkling the cool stuff of it with a pretty shameless PRS ripoff' - turned into my beloved SZ series), but I really crave an Iceman.

I just love those big planks.

Is a locking trem a pain to deal with? I've never had a dual-lock guitar. (The Parker has a brilliant trem system, and the only locks are on the tuning pegs.)

Holy crap y'all. Spiderman II is officially the best movie in the world. It was, to quote a fellow nerd, "flawless." *wink*
And to quote another fellow nerd, "the guy that played J. Jonah Jameson deserves to win a fucking Oscar!" Something that you kids probably didn't know about me is that I aspire to be J.J.J. when I grow up. And to get onto...

thats alot of rant for spiderman, but it deserves it. I really enjoyed the movie and as a fellow nerd myself i salute sam raimi for actually making movies based on comic books that are actually good. ohhhhhhhhh i have to ask, did peters professer have one arm??? cause if he did that means hes the lizard im guessing, and i think that jamesons son is gonna be venom in the next one, that would be the fuckin shit. skull
the_alchemist:
I too have loved ole' Spidey since a young age. My dad has the very first appearance of Spiderman in (I believe) Action Comics. He showed it to me when I was a teenager and he said he was keeping it for me until I was ready to take care of it. It was still in it's original wrapper, un-opened! I'm almost 33, you think he'll give it to me yet? Hell no! The bum. EL SUICIDO LOCO

I'm listening to Cream's "Disraeli Gears." It's got me wondering, yet again, how someone could go from being such a badass to being such a lameass in the span of a few short years. Clapton should have never released a single record after he finished with Blind Faith. The best example of this is just how lame the version of "Layla" on his MTV Unplugged...

The Derek and the Dominoes version is so good that if it's on the radio when I'm driving somewhere, and I arrive before it finishes, I wait in my car until it's over, even if I'm late.smile

I spent the day watching Star Trek with my cat and playing Gladius. I am the coolest man alive.

Last night I saw most of The Last Samurai. It was better than I expected, at any rate. The best part was the ninja attack. The movie pretty much just made me want to go watch Yojimbo again.

I got a bunch of new vinyl...

Ahhh... the last few days have been exciting, relaxing, and fun.

Thursday was my friend Andrea's birthday. I went to her party that night. Everyone got real to' up and it soon transmogrified into a dance party. I ended up doing something I told myself I'd never do again, and I ended up even more frustrated than I did the first time. Ah well, it...

Last night Flux and I drove down to wonderful Macon Georgia to see my friends in The Oval Portrait. This is the band that stayed at my house and played Halo with us all night a few months ago. They are super cool kids. We had a good time.

Now that I'm feeling a bit less lazy, I'll add a bit more. Just to warn...
