Well, today was pretty rad. I met up with Alia after my first class and ate some chinese food. She had to go do an experiment for psychology at 3, so while she did that Luke, Nick and I went to Cinefest and saw Shaolin Soccer. That movie was fucking awesome, by the way. Anyway, after the movie I met back up with Alia and headed to Little Five Points to go costume shopping. I found one cool costume: a one piece skeleton suit. I've been looking for one of those for years; they're a lot tougher to find than you'd think. I didn't buy it because A. I still want to do the tandem thing and B. Alia got pretty much the same thing, albeit in leotard form. We went and got pizza afterwards, and then headed to her place to watch the world series and carve pumpkins. We tried to see the eclipse, but the stupid clouds were blocking the moon. All in all it was a fun, if uneventful, day.

Oh, and I asked her where her parents got the name Alia from today. "From Dune." Awesome. And, even better, she used to play with a Feyd Rautha action figure as a child, and at one point she owned a Dune pop-up book. And she appreciated the Dune board game Flux and I found a while back. Kids, I think I'm in trouble.
