Saturday night our estranged resident Canadian friend Kate actually came and hung out. She's been home all summer, and this was the first time she actually left the house. We tried to wrangle up something interesting, since it was the last Saturday of summer and all, but it wasn't to be. So, instead, we just went to Bamboo Luau (again) and got to' up and ate Chinese food. Afterwards we just shot the shit and watched the Olympics until about 6am.
Yesterday Ronnie and I helped our friend move his washing machine to his new apartment, which was really, really fun. Then we hung out with my parents for a while. Oh, and the Gee Whiz episode of Aqua Teen was fucking great, as was The Venture Brothers (which I hadn't seen before.) Oh, and that Famous Battles show on the History Channel rocks. Hard. Last night was Crassus' and Pompey's campaigns against Spartacus' uprising. It was awesome.
And now, boys and girls, I'm headed downtown for my first day of classes.
