Updates on my nerd level!
Update 1: I came home the other day to find my roommate and Vladdic watching American Psycho, so I sat down to watch it too. I immediately began pcking up on all the symbolism in the film. Now, one may ask, how is that any nerdier than I was previously? Well, you see, I was pretty high at the time. And even in my altered state I was still doing my usual analysis of the film.
Update 2: Last night my roommates and I lived the dream. We invited a bunch of people and a bunch of xboxes over and played an eight person match spread over four TVs. It was awesome.
On another, non nerdy note, a woman came in to the store today looking for a powered antenna for her radio. I went and fetched her a few of them, but she turned them all down in favor of an floor model (it was the last one left). her reasons? It was the only one to receive AM signals, and she liked to listen to Bill O'Reilly. Unfortuantely, I like my job and so I had to refrain from telling her to save herself the twenty dollars and go listen to traffic, as the woooosh of cars driving by is much more meaningful than anything O'Reilly has to say.

I always hated the idea of selling people something they didn't need to make money, and rarely ever have. I received more than one lecture on this behavior, but people always trusted me for saying they should get an $.89 washer at Home Depot instead of a $50 part from me, and they always came back.
