So unusual for me to post on a saturday. I saw the original Nightmare on Elm Street in a theater last Wednesday. I must admit...it was interesting seeing that film on the big screen. I never saw the original nightmare in theaters. Saw it via video thanks to my brother who was home from college he rented it. That movie scared the shit out of me. I know why...Someone who can kill you in your dreams with those finger knives...very scary. I slept with the lights on for 2 months.... Yes...freddy krueger really changed my life...It would take 2 sequels b4 I had the heart to see one in the theater. Nightmare 4...I was hooked...Of course still kinda a scaredy cat. But I watched...I really thought though this print wouldve been cleaned up but its still a dark film. There is a special Edition coming out this tuesday.
Of course last thursday...I had to do a presentation on the Lesbian Vampire in Cinema...First, I hate speaking in front of people. The movies mentioned in the article i've watched except the Hunger, I still havent seen it but after reading about it...I gotta see it. Vampire Lovers....Daughters of Darkness I've seen as well. Gotta love Ingrid Pitt and of course the history of Elizabeth Bathory and Camilla. Its something though...back in the 70s it was soo taboo to have a female vampire preying on the young but now...Its a given that if its female it will have some Lesbian action...
Whenever I am in my horror film class, I often come up with some great ideas but I forget to carry my ideas book with me. THere is an actress in the class and a makeup artist in the class I would like to collaborate but alas too shy. But then again...its something how alot of these films no one has seen them.
